Uttermost Unveils Dual IPad Apps

ROCKY MOUNT, VA,– Uttermost, a major manufacturer of home accessories and furniture, is pleased to announce the launch of two apps, both designed for use on the new iPad 2.

The first app is a business-to-business app for use in Uttermost’s wholesale showrooms. This app was developed specifically for Uttermost, and allows for orders to be scanned into the iPad using a miniature bluetooth scanner. The objective is to allow sales representatives to focus on their customer’s needs, while seamlessly scanning orders into their iPad.

The other new Uttermost app is for use by Uttermost Sales Representatives, Retail Dealers, and consumers. The functionality includes nearly everything that the new Uttermost website includes, plus swiping from image to image, pinch-zooming for extreme enlargement, etc. This app is ideal for presenting product one-on-one, or when connected to a big screen or monitor, to a group of people. The consumer version of this App is available on Apple’s itunes.com, under the name Uttermost, for $2.99.

Uttermost Unveils New Website

Uttermost, a major manufacturer of home accessories and furniture, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. The new website www.uttermost.com, designed and developed by Whereoware, creates a fresh, user-friendly experience for its visitors.

Uttermost tasked Whereoware with providing a cutting-edge site that provides support for their retailers, designers, sales representatives and consumers. The site offers a streamlined and interactive experience for all users, allowing them to quickly find the information they need in a visually stimulating environment.

It personalizes the experience by providing an image of the Uttermost staff who service each retailer, allowing the retailer to ‘see’ who they are speaking with, as well as contact information. Consumers can browse products, create, save and print a wish list as well as use the dealer locator. Timeworks, now part of Uttermost

Timeworks, Inc, a Berkeley California company and industry leader of innovative clocks, is now an Uttermost brand.

Uttermost has acquired the Timeworks brand name, product designs, etc, and now is available exclusively through Uttermost.

Per Mac Cooper, CEO, "I’ve been a fan of Timeworks for many years, and could not be more excited to offer this product to our customers." Uttermost is continuing almost the entire Timeworks assortment from 2010, along with new Timeworks introductions at the January markets. "The founders of Timeworks will be leading the way in product design and development of Timeworks, so this line will grow substantially from where it is today" according to Cooper.

Uttermost’s new iPad Giveaway Contest

Uttermost will again be giving away three iPads, but this time it’s for the most interesting, most unique, and most attractive use of Uttermost product in a retail environment or home.

Uttermost Acquires Inventory of Austin Productions
July 30, 2010

On July 28, Uttermost of Rocky Mount Virginia acquired all of the product inventory of Austin Productions as well as a non-exclusive right to reproduce select inventory items.

Uttermost intends to sell the Austin inventory through its long established sales channels. Austin Productions, founded in 1953 is in the later stages of a transaction to sell substantially all of its remaining assets to an investment group called Austin Home Ltd.

Retailers interested in the Austin products should call Uttermost for details.

Uttermost jumps into Social Media with iPad Giveaway

Uttermost will be giving away three iPads as part of its launch into social media. This giveaway is for Uttermost’s "New Product Ideas" contest, where Retailers and Designers are invited to share their suggestions for Uttermost’s product line. Retailers and Designers can participate by clicking the "Enter to Win" tab at http://facebook.com/UttermostCo. Suggestions can include sketches and illustrations, and there is no limit to the number of entries per person.

Uttermost’s Major Expansion in High Point

Continuing it’s long-term growth trend, Uttermost has again expanded its High Point showroom, Commerce 448. This expansion includes the former Tempo/Infinity space and most of the former Vintage Veranda space.

With this expansion, Uttermost now has almost 19,000 square feet of showroom space to display their wide selection of exclusive mirrors, art, lighting, accessories, botanicals and accent furniture.

In addition, this will allow more room for the Uttermost café, where hundreds of buyers enjoy a hot breakfast and lunch daily, as well as hors d’oeuvres each night.

Uttermost’s Major Expansion in Atlanta

Continuing it’s long-term growth trend, Uttermost has expanded its Atlanta showroom 12E17 by over 80% as of the upcoming July show. This gives Uttermost 13,325 square feet of show space, including a café serving breakfast, lunch, and hors oeuvres at night.

Per Mac Cooper, President, "this expansion will allow us to finally show the breadth of our product lines in Atlanta, including all new products as well as all best selling existing product. It also gives us room to better serve our lunch crowds".

Uttermost offers all types of wall décor, as well as lamps, fixtures, accessories, accent furniture, and botanicals.

The Uttermost expansion includes the spaces formerly occupied by Currey & Company, as well as Interlude Home.
